- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz mascarpone cheese (or cream cheese)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 package ladyfingers
- Optional: strawberry juice or orange liqueur for brushing
- Optional: mint leaves or cocoa powder for garnish
Instructions
- Wash and slice strawberries.
- In a bowl, whip heavy cream to soft peaks. Fold in mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla.
- Line a dish with ladyfingers. Lightly brush with strawberry juice or orange liqueur if desired.
- Spread a thick layer of the cream mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Top with a layer of sliced strawberries.
- Repeat the layers until the dish is full, ending with a top layer of whipped cream and strawberries.
- Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.
- Garnish before serving if desired.
Notes
Let it chill overnight for deeper flavor. For clean slices, dip your knife in hot water. Serve with ice cream, garnish with pistachios or edible flowers for extra flair. Do not freeze as it alters texture.
