Description
A heavenly fusion of crispy, cinnamon-kissed churros and creamy cheesecake, this baked churro cheesecake brings sweet memories to every bite. Simple, cozy, and utterly irresistible.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cans (8 oz each) Refrigerated Crescent Dough
- 16 oz (2 blocks) Cream Cheese, softened
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar, divided
- 2 tablespoons Ground Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and half the sugar.
- Unroll one can of crescent dough and press it into the bottom of the dish. Sprinkle generously with half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, the remaining sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent dough. Top with the second can of dough, stretching gently to cover. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
- Bake for about 30 minutes, or until golden brown and slightly puffed. Let cool slightly before slicing into squares.
Notes
For best results, ensure your cream cheese is at room temperature. Let the cheesecake cool before slicing for neat pieces. Try doubling the cinnamon sugar for an extra crunch, and consider chilling before serving for a firmer texture. Variations include adding a chocolate drizzle, a layer of jam, or making mini versions in muffin tins.
